Antes de ontem (03/04) fez 40 anos que a primeira ligação de um aparelho celular foi feita. No dia três de abril de 1973, Martin Cooper, um funcionário da empresa Motorola, saiu nas ruas de Nova Iorque, nos Estados Unidos para testar a, até então, nova invenção, um aparelho que se chamava DynaTAC. O funcionário ligou para a Bell Labs, que era uma divisão da empresa AT&T, e essa foi a primeira ligação de um celular da história.

       Na ligação, Cooper disse:

"Estou ligando para você para saber se minha voz está clara aí do outro lado da linha."

O DynaTAC pesava 1,1Kg, ou seja, não era muito fácil carregá-lo por aí. O primeiro aparelho celular, no entanto, nunca chegou a ser comercializado, mas, serviu para que dez anos mais tarde fosse lançado o DynaTAC 8000X, que também pesava mais de 1 Kg.
