Causa de tanto lixo eletrônico

lixo Eletrônico
Many people understand by the junk mail that's spam is sent in your emails. But when you drop an electronic device that has no more use, you are generating an electronic waste, also known as "e-waste." They are materials such as batteries, cell phones, computers, televisions, DVD's, CD's, radios, fluorescent lamps and many others, who do not have a proper destination, end up in landfill sites and contaminate soil and water, bringing harm to the environment and human health.
The problem is that time of use of these products is shrinking. And not because they cease to function, but rather because with the rapid modernization of technologies, the devices become outdated in a frightening speed. In Brazil, for example, the average use of a cell is less than two years and a computer is four years in businesses and homes in five years.
So imagine the following scenario: Today, the country has 130.5 million mobile phones. If two years from now all be changed, where will it stop this mountain of discarded mobile phones? And what to do in four or five years to 50 million computers in use in businesses and homes in Brazil?
According to Greenpeace, it is estimated that are produced every year, approximately 50 million tons of junk e, corresponding to 5% of the whole residue produced in the earth. This represents a volume sufficient to fill a locomotive with wagons would encircle the world.
The good news is that much of this waste can be reused in new equipment or recycled into other products. Just give people a destination to suit your "e-waste." Look in your city to inquire about where to drop that phone, one rechargeable battery and that they are lying in your house.Do not return to nature what she has created.
In the composition of electronic equipment are toxic substances like mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic belírio - highly hazardous to human health. Furthermore, to produce the apparatus are also used chemicals and flame retardant PVC, which take forever to decompose in the environment. In contact with air, water and soil, and by direct or indirect exposure via drinking water and food, these substances may nervous system disorders, kidney problems and lung cancer and other diseases, and may even affect the brain.
